About Ku-ring-gai Living
Since the Group began, countless local businesses and tradespeople have been recommended, many missing pets and items have been located, great local activities have been discovered, generous donations have been made to local charities, and members have been able to unite to bring about positive change in the community.

The desire to preserve all of this great information, along with the positive feedback and rapid growth of the group, convinced the Admins – Naomi Sheriff and Bianca Horwitz – that a website was a logical and exciting next phase for community engagement.
Launched in 2020, the Ku-ring-gai Living website contains a lot of what the Group’s members have been generous enough to share – plus much more, including events, a local dining guide, a business directory, a classes and activities directory and a community Noticeboard for job vacancies, babysitters, house rentals, dog walkers and more.
With a growing Ku-ring-gai Living Instagram and an e-newsletter with 1000s of subscribers, the Ku-ring-gai Living platform also offers cost-effective promotional options for our local businesses to get the word out quickly and easily on what they offer. If you’re a local business, we’d love to help you get seen – and our online community loves supporting local – please click here for options.
Group Admins Naomi Sheriff and Bianca Horwitz were colleagues in the magazine industry in the early 2000s. Both are experienced content creators who have worked in journalism, editing and publishing for many years.
With a shared passion for living on Sydney’s beautiful North Shore, and a belief that local living could be improved by connecting the community, they launched the Ku-ring-gai Living Facebook Group. Along with Willoughby Living, North Sydney Living, Northern Beaches Living, Mosman Living and Lane Cove Living, these highly engaged online communities, with over 250,000 followers combined, make up The Living Collective Pty Ltd.
