Term 2 Introduction to Tai-chi

Active Ku-ring-gai’s 10-week beginner Tai-Chi program will introduce you to the basic principles and movements of the free flowing form of ancient Chinese martial art!

Improve flexibility, balance, and learn relaxation techniques such as visualisation and deep breathing. This program aims to relax the mind, body and spirit.

Our lovely instructor, Elena, teaches Tai-Chi with passion to share the joy of being free.  Free from the pushing and pulling of life’s ups and downs, to help keep the body, heart and mind in equipoise, healthy and happy.  Tai-Chi taught by Elena is not just about learning cool moves or looking good, or even just feeling good, it is to connect and be in the flow of nature, of qi, of the universe. Going within, breathing in life, watching oneself and deciding to change for the better, through learning the movements and stillness makes healing possible, or be permanent. Joy is a lovely side-effect of this meditation in motion and stillness. Elena says, “Wellness is the goal, the blissful journey of finding one’s true self is the biggest gift along the way”.
