Ku-ring-gai residents can see the recently released Australian film Go! at St Ives Showground during an evening screening on Tuesday 26 January.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions the Council’s family event at Bicentennial Park West Pymble has been cancelled this year. However local residents are invited to come together to Reflect, Respect and Celebrate some unique Australian stories at the free COVID-safe drive-in event on the evening of Australia Day.
The movie GO! is a thrilling PG rated film about a boy who overcomes tremendous odds (and his own recklessness) to achieve his dream of winning the National Go Kart Championship. GO! is a high-octane Australian story produced in Western Australia and highlighting our dusty landscapes, Aussie tones and overall tenacity!
Starring Richard Roxburgh, Dan Wyllie, Frances O’Connor and William Lodder, Go! can be enjoyed by the whole family from the safety of your vehicle. Pack a picnic or choose some delicious street food from one of several food trucks that will be at the Showground during the screening.
Snacks such as popcorn and non-alcoholic beverages can also be purchased at the event. Please note that this is an alcohol-free family event.
Up to 300 cars can be accommodated at the Showground for this free screening and as a result, bookings are essential and limited to local residents only. Residents must show their licence with a Ku-ring-gai address to gain entry. Dogs are permitted, as long as they remain on a leash at all times.
