Fifty years of famous tunes will light up this year’s Twilight Concert on Saturday 21 October.
The not-to-be-missed free Twilight concert is on from 5pm to 8pm at Wahroonga Park. Concertgoers will be treated to music ranging from the blues artists of the 1970s through to present-day pop divas such as Beyonce.
Starting at 5pm girl band The Diamonds bring you the best of the soul era. Billed as ‘Destiny’s Child meets The Supremes’, this high energy act features 50 years of music including classics such as Respect, Rescue Me, Say a Little Prayer and I Will Survive.
Following The Diamonds, headline act Boys in the Band will perform a tribute to your favourite Aussie rock bands plus other pop legends. Relive classic tunes from Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons, the Beatles, Queen, Daryl Braithwaite, John Farnham and Jimmy Barnes.
Concertgoers are invited to arrive early at Wahroonga Park to get a good view. Dress for the weather, bring a picnic dinner, a rug or folding chair. Food and non-alcoholic drinks can purchased from stalls at the event.
Wahroonga Park is a two minute walk from Wahroonga station; parking is limited near the venue and in surrounding streets.
