It’s the question on everyone’s lips… can the mighty Matildas do it again? After testing the collective nerves of a nation with their nail-biting penalty shootout win against France in the quarter finals, our team faces off against England in the FIFA World Cup semi final on Wednesday night.

Wahroonga Park

We will be hosting another live site at Wahroonga Park this Wednesday 16 August for the Matilda’s semi final match against England. Get creative, wear green and gold, ribbons in your hair, paint your face, wear a wig or game day gear. Go big to win a Matildas supporter pack for best dressed supporter on the night and there will also be lucky door prizes. Grab some dinner from the local restaurants in Wahroonga and come down to watch the game live on the big screen with kick off at 8pm. The seating area will be divided into two zones with picnic blankets and low chairs in the front sections and high back camping chairs in the rear section allowing great viewing for all. Remember to dress warmly for the weather! Please note: There will be no live site at St Ives Village Green for this match.

The Concourse Chatswood

The Northern Suburbs Football Association in partnership with Willoughby City Council will be live streaming various matches throughout the entire tournament.

The excitement is palpable as we gear up to watch Australia’s national team, affectionately known as ‘The Matildas,’ lead the football movement across the country. Get ready to witness all the action as they compete in the biggest women’s soccer tournament in the world.

The Concourse is the perfect place to catch all the action, with plenty of activities to fuel the excitement before the kick off and restaurants to enjoy a bite at.

No need to book, just come along in your Aussie Green and Gold or club uniform to cheer on the 32 teams participating in this years 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup!”

North Sydney Oval

If you’ve caught Matildas fever, the only cure is to head to North Sydney Oval to watch the CommBank Matildas take on Lionesses in the semi-final showdown, live and free on the big screen! Free face painting and food to purchase from The Greens North Sydney, Ryan Gozleme and chips on a stick and our Kiosk open for snacks and hot drinks. Entry is free, but no alcohol, glass, dogs or chairs with pointed legs. Gates open at 6pm with kick-off at 8pm. Bring warm clothing and picnic blankets or sit in the stands if you prefer. We can’t wait for you to bring the electric energy once again! 🥳⚽

We’ll be screening the match live on the big screen at The Canopy.
Kick-off is at 8:00pm but come earlier to get a spot. Picnic rugs and low chairs only. BYO food and drink or pick up something delicious from nearby restaurants.

Football fever is officially here! To celebrate, we’re transforming Tumbalong Park into the place to be this FIFA Women’s World Cup™, second only to the stadiums. Streaming each game live, come and experience everything football has to offer as you cheer on your team!
