Vision Football’s Holiday Programs are back this April with programs for players of all levels and ages. With the Elite Holiday Clinics and the Holiday Camps running simultaneously at the synthetic Chatswood High School field, the week of football will be sure to be fun-filled and full of hard work and development.

The Elite Holiday Clinics will bring an intensive, development-focused training environment to the players, working on the technical, tactical and physical aspects of their game to ensure they are in the best shape possible on all fronts ahead of the 2024 season, while the Holiday Camps have been designed to enhance the technical fundamentals of the players, while ensuring they fall further in love with ‘the beautiful game’.

Ku-ring-gai Wildflower Garden Bush Adventures

Get your young ones to step into nature at Ku-ring-gai Wildflower Garden at St Ives and enjoy the great outdoors with adventure-based play activities these spring school holidays. The Bush Kids program is suitable for children aged 6 to 12. Depending on the session you choose, your kids could be learning bush survival skills, bushcraft and camping and so much more.

St Ives Treetops Adventure + Playground

Families have a new experience to explore along the southern border of Ku-ring-gai National Park. St Ives is our newest Tree Ropes Course Park, hosting 95+ aerial obstacles and 10+ ziplines, all suspended between platforms to create a maze of activities in the treetops. Courses start at 1m for little climbers and jump up to 15 metres for bigger adventurers!

Sessions run for 2.5-hours to climb as many courses as you can during your session. You can choose to start on low easy courses or go straight up on a higher course. If you don’t feel like climbing up on a higher level, you are always welcome to complete a lower or same course again during your session. Your session includes harnessing, training and approx 2-hours of climbing.

When you’re done there’s a spectacular new playground to explore as well! Perfect for spring school holidays!

Barista Foundations and Job Ready Workshop, Chatswood


If you’re aged 14-24 and interested in working in cafes, restaurants or bars then you will need barista experience!

You will also learn transferable skills like customer service, communication and teamwork. Most importantly this will be a fun, engaging and positive experience offering you a taste of what it’s like to be a barista and work in the hospitality industry.

Willoughby City Council Youth Services is committed to supporting young peoples employment goals and have subsidised this workshop meaning you only pay 50% of the costs.

The Children’s Opera Project, Chatswood

It was Mulga Bill from Eaglehawk that caught the cycling craze, and when he turned away his good old horse, everything fell apart. He dressed himself in cycling clothes, resplendent to be seen, hurried off to town and bought a shiny new machine.

Banjo Paterson’s delightful poem, Mulga Bill’s Bicycle, has been delighting readers since its first publication in The Sydney Mail in 1896. Now, Mulga Bill has a back story (and a few good tunes) in a new adaptation composed and conducted by Lachlan Massey.

Musgrove Opera is joined by over 200 young singers from schools across Sydney to present Mulga Bill’s Bicycle as the culmination of the 2024 Children’s Opera Project. The young singers fill the exciting surrounds of The Concourse Concert Hall alongside a stellar cast led by soprano, Brianna Louwen. Giant inflatable soccer-pool tournament

Get ready to showcase your skills these school holidays in a giant pool tournament with a fun inflatable twist! Better known as Billiard Soccer, participants of all skill levels will compete in knock-out rounds to secure a spot in the Finals, with the opportunity to win awesome prizes. There is also plenty of time to play friendly games.

Heritage Festival – Natural Connections storytime event

Did you know that one of our local residents, Annie Wyatt, was responsible for setting up a conservation group in our area? Her work was so important, it led to the formation of the National Trust. As part of Council’s Heritage Festival, we will be hosting a special storytime to celebrate the connection to our gorgeous natural environment.

Stories will be shared, craft will be made and we would love your company.

Please make sure that you bring sun protection on the day as the storytime will be held in a park space.

Heritage Festival – Photo scavenger hunt challenge

A scavenger hunt will need solving using clues provided in historic photographs of the Lindfield area. Children are invited to put their best problem solving skills to the test to complete the challenge of finding the necessary clues and completing extra activities.

We recommend that children come with some form of sun protection as the area is an open space.

Gelli printing workshop

Be inspired by treasures from Ku-ring-gai Wildflower Garden and explore printmaking with gelli plates on handmade Asian papers.

By creating images from nature students will observe and document their surroundings in the garden.  Prints will be layered and full of texture, colour and form.  Gelli printing is a fun, sensory, hands-on way of printing and is beginner friendly. You will leave with images that can stand alone or be used for other mixed media projects.

Materials included – additional handmade Asian papers will be available to purchase.

The Ku-ring-gai Wildflower Garden is one of Sydney’s best kept secrets, set across 123 hectares of unique urban bushland and home to two endangered ecological communities as well as 18 threatened species of flora and fauna. The Wildflower Garden is open to the public all year round and has a range of hikes, step-free walking tracks, picnic areas and heritage venue hire as well as a diverse calendar of environmental education programs.
